We had such a fun and full day celebrating Dada. It started with chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Then after some relaxing time we headed out to the park. Today we checked out the Goodland County Park near our house. It didn’t have a huge playground, but the kids enjoyed it.
Allie really liked this jungle gym climbing ladder thing. She was a little daredevil on that thing!
Peyton liked it too… that was a little scary.
What Peyton really enjoyed was watching all the boats on the launch. And there were a lot. They just kept coming the whole time we were there.
The park is on Lake Waubesa and the view is so pretty!
And then a little more playground time before heading for lunch. Dada got a giftcard from Grandma and Grandpa Durso for Buffalo Wildwings, so we went there for lunch!
After lunch we headed home for Peyton to take his nap. Allie and Mama made chocolate chocolate chip cookies. They turned out great and Allie is getting to be a great help with cookies, when she’s interested that is.
Then after nap time, we headed to Law Park to see the Mad City Ski Team show. Its been a few years since we’ve been to a show.
The cookies sure were a big hit!
Mama and Dada selfie!
And the skiers!
The kids loved the show. We haven’t been in a few years, but I think its safe to say we’ll be back. Especially since we live closer to downtown now.
What a beautiful day!
Allie was inspired and practiced her dancing.
After the show, we had a late dinner. I made pork roast and green beans in the crock pot. The kids were too wound up, and had eaten too many cookies. So they didn’t eat dinner. But Mama and Dada sure enjoyed it!
I couldn’t ask for a better Dada for our family. We love you Dada!
