We didn’t start taking Allie to the dentist until she was 4. She was already painfully shy and nervous around strangers or on new situations. The experience at our first dentist wasn’t good, that dentist essentially told us to go somewhere else after barely trying to examine her. We switched to the children’s dental clinic and it was still tough, but they were willing to help her work through her anxiety. Fast forward to today two years later… She seemed excited! She asked about what they would do and would she get a prize? She didn’t mind wearing the sunglasses and watching tv while they did their thing! So proud of my baby growing up every day! And her teeth are great, though it’s likely she will need orthodontics in the next few years.
